Rock Fall Protection for Residential & Commercial Property Owners

Rock Fall Protection

Rockfall is a very common problem in many areas of the country, especially in mountainous areas.  In Colorado especially, it can be a huge problem for many home owners and property owners that live in these types of areas, and we work hard to protect this type of property.

Rockfall Protection comes in many forms. Yenter Companies works directly with state DOTs, homeowners, developers and commercial property owners and other entities threatened by the hazard of a potential rock-fall. We remove, barricade or immobilize dangerous boulders and rock overhangs.

Yenter Companies has designed numerous rock-fall barriers along the I-70 W corridor and many other mountain highways throughout the Western U.S. highway system. These barriers catch and stop falling rock matter before it can hit the highway and cause a disaster.

Yenter Companies has the background experience and staff to handle any rockfall problem. We can analyze identified rockfall danger zones and rockfall behavior, and design effective control measures based upon our client’s budget and objectives.

Using cranes, helicopters, climbers, and conventional equipment, our crews can scale, blast, bolt, nail, re-grade the ground surface, build fences, build barriers, and beams.

Impressive pictures and post, thank you.  Lennar/US Homes recently had a lawsuit filed against them for not packing the dirt around foundations properly, resulting in poor drainage and faulting foundations.  What is the process builders are supposed to use to avoid this?

Hi Stefan,

There are many specialized tools that can be used to avoid foundation problems.  We don't do alot of residential foundation work, but the principal is still the same.  The dirt must be very well packed.  In Colorado there is so much clay in the soil, there are alot of problems with movement on the foundation here.  That is one of the reasons the frames in basements need to be floated off the ground... and the same caution needs to be used when stabilizing the ground for foundation work.
