Knoxville Market is Great! Come On Down!

Real Estate Sales Representative with Coldwell Banker Wallace & Wallace

Knoxville provides a wonderful area for home buyers who want it all!  It is a medium-sized city that spreads out into many surburban communities.  We enjoy all four seasons with winter temps that may dip to the 'teens and summer temps that may rise into the 90s, but most often the temperature is pretty moderate.  Spring and Fall is absolutely beautiful!  We are in the Tennessee Valley and often are spared from dramatic weather events.  The surrounding mountains are beautiful and we have many rivers and lakes which provide great sport for water skiing and fishing.  We are, of course, a short drive away from the Gatlinburg area and Dollywood, not to mention the Chattanooga Choo-Choo and Aquarium, the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, and a short day trip will take you to Atlanta to see the Braves or Falcons or to Memphis to enjoy our famous BBQ or the Titans.  We are the home of the Tennessee Volunteers and we proudly boast of Peyton Manning and Kenny Chesney in this area.

Back to homes.  The Knoxville market did not have the "bubble" that many of the large metropolitan areas suffered.  The major sales market here right now are $150-$250,000.  I find that the baby-boomers are now wanting to get away from steps but still want an area for a workshop, such as a basement, so many are looking for basement ranchers.  Many of the first-time buyers want either a condo or if they are ready to start their family, they want a newer two-story home.  Our builders have recognized that need so we have a good supply of those homes.  Mortgage companies in the area are finding ways to meet the financing needs so our market is really picking up.

I am here for you and your friends or customers looking to move into this area.  I will promise you that I will take care of them and provide the service you would want them to have.  Feel free to contact me at 865-919-7888.
