On April 16, 2020, Wisconsin's governor extended our shelter-in-place executive order until May 26, 2020. However, many of our seasonal residents will come to their Door County homes and shelter in place/self quarantine until they are safely able to join the community again. Also, as of this writing, our 2 State Parks (Newport and Peninsula) as well as all county, town and village parks remain open. Most marinas are planning to open in early May with safety precautions in place (no public restrooms, social distancing, etc.).

If you plan to transition to your Door County home, here are some tips and guidelines, as well as a current list of Door County businesses offering curbside pickup and/or delivery from Egg Harbor and North:
Cornerstone Pub, Baileys Harbor: Self-Proclaimed "Open Daily-(ish)" as of this writing. Creative. They've been scrounging around classic Door County cookbooks for new recipes and also posting on YouTube. Menu changes daily: 920-839-9001 or Instagram for daily menus.
Fireside Restaurant, Egg Harbor: Your Fireside favorites daily. Door County's only restaurant with a Creole attitude! 920-868-4800 or Instagram/Facebook for more details.
Mink River Basin, Ellison Bay: Take a drive north (you'll thank yourself and kill some time doing it). Serving curbside, menu changes daily. Instagram or 920-854-2290. Go enjoy your dinner at Wills Park and Marina (from a distance) while watching a Door County sunset.
CHOP, Sister Bay: CHOP is offering both curb-side pickup, as well as delivery to areas south and north, and has been offering tasty and creative specials daily. 920-854-2700 or Facebook/Instagram.
Coyote Roadhouse, Baileys Harbor: On the shores of Kangaroo Lake. 920-839-9192. Call for specials and hours.
Sister Bay Bowl, Sister Bay: Serving both lunch and dinner, curb-side pickup, and featuring your Bowl favorites: fish fries, prime rib and more. 920-854-2841or Facebook for menu and hours.
KICK-ASH DOOR COUNTY GRANOLA AND COFFEE, Ellison Bay: Another great reason to drive north! Featuring gluten free and healthy, also salads, soups and daily specials. Gift baskets. Facebook, Instagram or call 920-421-1041
Heirloom Cafe & Provisions, Baileys Harbor: Curbside and homemade, offering breakfast and lunch, call for details 920-839-9334.
Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant, Sister Bay: And yes, they are also shipping Swedish pancakes and syrup (not sure about lingonberries....). Curbside breakfast and lunch until 3, set menu, check Facebook or Insta or call 920-854-2626. And as of right now, the Roofing of the Goats is still scheduled for June.......
Husby's Food and Spirits, Sister Bay: Curbside and daily, Facebook and Instagram, 920-854-2624. Check for changing menus, but the basics you love are all still there. Look for a new and improved Garage Bar this summer.

The AC Tap, Baileys Harbor: I am not sure if the Tap has changed its "cash only" policy at this time, but they are doing pickup until LATE (much later than most) so it's worth the call for the late-night food you love if you absolutely need cheese curds with your Netflix. Alexander's of Door County, Fish Creek: Just reopened (thank you, thank you). Tonight's menu was Blackened Scallop Appetizer with Sweet Potato Fries with a featured Cold Water Lobster (yum) Menu changes daily: Check Facebook or call 920-868-3532.
Thyme Cuisine, Baileys Harbor: Curbside and some delivery (and some seriously good food). Has also been helping feed the hungry--so please support them! Facebook and 920-839-2500
With May approaching, we expect more businesses to open with safe practices and social distancing (so if I'm missing your favorite, Google them and contact them for updates), but for groceries--we recommend you bring your own until your self-quarantine is finished. Afterwords, Sturgeon Bay is wide-open as of this writing with Target, Econo-Foods, Pick 'N Save and Wal-Mart open (as well as most franchises offering take-out (i.e, Jimmy John's, Arby's, Taco Bell, etc.--you may or may not need these items during a pandemic), as well as most local Sturgeon Bay businesses offering curbside pickup and/or delivery. Also, the following grocery stores are open with either social distancing or pickup only to the north:
MAIN STREET MARKET, EGG HARBOR: Curbside pick-up only, must place order the day prior. Check their Facebook page for more details.
Grains 'n Greens, Egg Harbor: Curbside pick-up only, check Facebook for more details.
PIGGLY WIGGLY, SISTER BAY: Masks required, hand sanitizer available for in-side pickup. Senior hours available. Curb delivery requests very much appreciated; please give them time to process. Please call 920-854-2391 for hours and for more details.
Special Needs: While they will ask seasonal residents to follow the strict stay-at-home orders and please maintain social distances and all safety precautions and quarantine as requested, the Door County Emergency Support Coalition (organized by the local fire departments) is available for emergency supplies for the needy (or information on any need) and can also direct you to food and supply resources for the elderly and needy. Currently operating out of the Sister Bay Station on Mill Road. Non-emergency call 920-421-9111 or 920-421-4422. FOR EMERGENCIES PLEASE CALL 911.
Again, with real estate as an essential service and homes still being listed and sold in Door County (as well as with many second home owners in this area), we realize that you may have to visit Door County for the essential services of same. We ask that you follow all precautions and respect social distancing. This is not a time to recreate here (hopefully soon--we miss you a lot!!).
