Limited Fruit Verification - Fruit Signatures in AR

By
Title Insurance with The Title Company of Jersey

You may have seen my previous post titled "Tired of Fruit?".

It's not like I'm against fruit or anything,........but I just don't get the whole "type in the following fruit to confirm your reply to this post" thing.

First of all, why fruit?   Although I imagine there are those who will say "why not?".

I guess the issue that I have is really with the inconsistencies with the system of limited fruit verification (LFV).  I can't see how I can get hit with such everyday fruits such as; Apple, Pear, Cantaloupe  and then be subjected to Fig, Lychee and Elderberry (as if they are actually fruits!).  Then of course there's the tomato!  I mean what's the deal with that?   Is that supposed to be some kind of fruit too?

We're still missing out on some classic fruits such as the Honeydew, Watermelon, Bing Cherry, Raspberry and others.   What about the Ugli Fruit?

Oh well,  it is what it is!   In any event I'd like to see the system changed to something more balanced, but I doubt that will happen.

From now on I'm going to sign my replies to other's posts with the fruit that's required to retype for the reply.  Hopefully this will start a movement of sorts to "Can the Fruit".....

From now on, it's Fruit Signatures for me!

Jennifer,

We have something in common......Obviously my sense of humor is a little off center as well.   As exhibited by my ramblings...

David:  Key Lime ,,,,hmmmm fruit and pie,..now there's a winner.

Kaushik:  I was only cracking up between swigs!

Theresa:  Thanks for the link to the Classic Rich Jacobson post!  I would definately advocate the State Capital thing.  I've always needed work on that group.

Funny post! And comments.  "between swigs" LOL!

I think the state capitol thing would be great. Then we can get an "education" while we post comments. Kill two birds with one stone so to speak.

Thanks Debi...

That's 3 of us for the state Capitol thing!  Is that enough to make a motion or something like that?

Rita:  Never had a gooseberry,.....not so sure that I want to!

Theresa:  Thanks for the report.  I've had 2 unique fruit items that I'd never gotten before.   Blueberry & Passion (not passion fruit, just passion).   That's the first time I can report on an emotion......

"Grapes"  (By the Way,....why does it have to be plural?)

There are more fruits on this site than I've ever heard of. Maybe they're working with the local fruit market to increase volume.  HAHAHAHA!

Tom- yesterday I was commenting about art, and got 'olive' which I thought was funny.  I believe that's the first time I ever saw it, too.

"pineapple" no doubt a comment about my bedhead. ;)

ALL

I can't help but LOVE the fact that you are questioning the spam blocking text verification checks we have placed here on ActiveRain. Just be glad that they are not warped in some way with a grid in the background that makes it almost impossible to read!

I don't have the reason why fruit was chosen... but why not?
