Slowly Denver is Starting to Open Up

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with House to Home, Inc. - Denver Real Estate - 720-231-6373 DRE# ER40011786

Our latest Stay at Home Order was through 4/26, and I truly thought it would be extended, but our Governor yesterday said real estate brokers may again start showing homes.   No open houses, but in-person showings will be allowed.   We have to maintain social distancing, wear masks, disinfectant wipes and booties will be needed.

Our restaurants will be able to open after May 1st, but the placement of tables will need to be further apart.   Hair salons will be able to open, but everyone must wear a mask.   Nail salons will open, and masks will be needed.

Offices will slowly open but are urged to work from home if it is convenient.   Parks will open, and the social distancing will still need to be adhered to.  My fear will be some of the companies that closed, won't open again, and that will be very sad.

The longer we can keep from large groups will keep the virus from penetrating our society again, so we all still need to DO OUR PART!

These all seem very sensible options put forward for re-opening. I was talking with a college teacher who said schools are having a hard time and many will not re-open once this is over, we can only wait and see.

Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 it will be sad to see which businesses will not be able to re-open again.

We are only allowed to show vacant homes at this time, Joan, with all the safety precautions you mentioned in place. I know we'll lose a few of our treasured mom-and-pop businesses, but many of us have been trying to support them through gift card purchases, continued payment for services that have been stopped, and take-out dinners a couple of times a week.

Here in Pennsylvania, we can not even show vacant houses Lottie Kendall

Lottie Kendall we tried getting the Governor to approve vacant homes, but a very stupid agent ruined it for all of us.    I have been ordering to go food from some restaurants, but heard rumors they may close down permanently, so did not want to buy gift cards that could be worthless down the road.

Grant, I thought it was encouraging news too, but we all must continue to stay safe with PPE, and good judgment.

Hi Joan Cox - This is good news for you and all the Colorado agents and brokers.  I am glad that your state is opening up.  People are smart enough to figure out how to protect themselves and others around them.

Hi Joan- it's time to get back to work but it will only work if everyone does what they need to do...maintain physical distancing and even masks. Our schools will remain closed for the remainder of the year but retail stores will be able to have curbside pickup starting Friday. Our grocery stores and stores like Target remained open so I'm not sure what the difference is.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® there are still many protesting that we are opening up too early, including REALTORS, that say they won't be showing or selling quite yet.   We all have to do what makes us feel safe.

Hannah Williams glad to see you my friend!   Your open date is much later, but then again, the virus was much harder on the East Coast.   To-date we have had 486 pass in all of our State.

We have been shut down for 6 weeks and really not real opening date in sight - the deaths have been in the 1,000's There are many agents being investigated by the state for not following the mandate of the shute down.

Kathy Streib most everything will be open, except bars and restaurants will need to wait until mid-May.  No more school this year.    I think nail and hair salons can open after the 1st of May.
