Where We Live: HIGH POINTE AT JEFFERSON -  Mosaic District

High Pointe at Jefferson condos in Falls Church provides its residents multiple amenities including underground parking, a club house, swimming pool,  exercise facility, tot lots/ playground, and a courtyard. It’s proximity to the Dunn Loring Metro and 495 beltway makes it one of the most desirable locations for commuters.  The HBC Group currently has listed 3003 Nicosh Cir #3309, Falls Church, VA 22042.

This complex is located directly across from The Mosaic District, a Town Center with a uniquely urban feel. It has a high WalkScore, ample parking, boutique shops, every day and fine dining, and with some great niche stores that round out the neighborhood and ensure there’s always a new hidden gem to explore.

The Walking Score of Nicosh, just a block away from Mosaic District, found here https://www.walkscore.com/score/3003-nicosh-cir-falls-church-va-22042, is 61. Most any errand can be accomplished within this community, partially due to the large Target that has groceries, a pharmacy, as well as typical big-box store goods. While taking a short trip around Mosaic, you’ll find a barber, a butcher, a few gyms of different kinds, and a wine shop. Along with that, there’s no shortage of free parking, even on the bustling weekends. Mosaic is centered around Angelika Film Center.  The courtyard area in front of the theater is where you’ll see children playing and others enjoying the open space at all times of the day.

Mosaic has great options for shopping of all kinds. For groceries, you can visit Target, or you can head to Mom’s Organic Market for healthy and locally grown foods. My favorite place to get groceries though, is on Sunday mornings at the Farmer’s Market that takes place in the streets of Mosaic. It’s a great place to get produce and local goods, but it’s also just a pleasant way to spend a morning. The whole neighborhood and their dogs come down for their favorite vendors.

For shopping, you’ll find primarily local businesses as well as familiar brands, and plenty of boutique shops. Some of my favorites are Great Gatherings, Scout and Molly, Anthropologie, and Lululemon.

Restaurants are where I believe Mosaic really shines. For a quick cup of coffee or a snack, Mom and Pop Coffee is a picturesque shop, frequented by HBC Group’s own Molly Patton. In the evening, their sister store Dolcezza is a great stop for some Gelatto. The list of restaurants is too great to go into detail into each so I’ll list some of my favorites. Jinya Ramen, Ted’s Bulletin, Sister’s Thai, and True Food. If you don’t have the pleasure of living in this community, you owe it to yourself to stop by for dinner!
