Open floor plans are favored by most these days . Especially adding the kitchen to other space . Ironically back in the day , the host would hide the mess they made in their kitchen to entertain company. Now they just let it all hangout !

Great post, one of my sons and his wife have gone from open floor plan, to rooms, to somewhere in between as they discovered kids toys in open floor plan make it look messy. Now everything has a place.
