Marketing Savvy: The Importance of Details!

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

We have always been proponents of  the importance of the attention to details.  Details can make or break you.  Although many think that snail mail is an antiquated form of communication, we don't.  In some small communities and markets, it is an effective way to stand out from the crowd.

One of our clients sends handwritten envelopes (stationary quality paper)  to listing prospects, and always uses commemorative stamps.  Her recent February mailing of 25 letters to one street yielded  5 calls, 5 appointments, 3 listings, and 2 not ready to sell yet, (thinking about it). She also uses them for thank you notes, birthday and anniversary cards also.

This was one of our habits in our commercial real estate practice. And our success was similar to our client's.

We have always been fans of commemorative stamps. We have young grand nieces and nephews (eight to be exact).  They do notice those commemorative stamps.  One of our nieces loves dragons, and when the post office released the dragon series, we sent her a sheet of stamps in her birthday card and present.  She was so delighted, she took her stamps to school to show her friends.

attention to detail."

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a

habit."

Myrl Jeffcoat The personal touch. matters so much.  We recently had our car in for the requisite 30,000 mile check up.  They told us they would not wash the car because of the current situation.  We understood. As we were leaving the service guy ran up to us and gave us a free car wash coupon...A

I agree. I love commemorable stamps. I have a lot of ones I tore off old envelopes I received years ago. It makes a difference to the person receiving the piece of mail on whether the regular machine made mark is there or a lovely special stamp. It makes a good impression.

I couldn't agree more Ron and Alexandra Seigel It's the extra step that says you care.  BTW- I used to buy the special as well when I sent more real greetings cards. I may have to start again.

As an avid stamp collector, I have all the stamps you showed! I also mail out hand written note cards to every contact in my database quarterly with REAL stamps on them. These generate almost 100% of my business every year.

Ron and Alexandra:

Such excelent advice here! And that first photo is so ironic! I have that same sheet of stamps in my desk and have been using them for the handwritten notes I have sent to past clients recently...and I've tried to select just the right stamp for the particular note.

I think using Commemorative stamps is a great idea, and there are lots of choices! The small things really CAN make a difference!

Love the personalized stamps. Customers love little touches like that. Anything that makes you stand out in a positive light is a differentiating factor in marketing and good branding for the business, even little things like stamps.
