Hoping for a Return to Normalcy with Respect to Showings

The turning of the season is always a welcome change during the year. In Highlands Ranch property management this ushers in the shifting gears into the busy season. At this point in the year we are usually much busier, but due to the pandemic the rental market has been largely stilted. Make no mistake, people still need to move, and are still looking. It has not affected that aspect of the market. It has mostly targeted people’s willingness to see a property in person. This is problematic because it is hard to pay a security deposit and sign a lease when you have only seen pictures and a virtual tour. There are many subjective elements that photos simply can’t convey, so people seem to be being a little pickier. The same can be said for the real estate market. Properties have been lingering on a little more, and strict guidelines are in place for showings where the owner is still occupying the unit. Thankfully, vacant properties remain quite easy to show. There should still be monitoring of the property, and routine cleaning after a certain number of prospects of walked through the home. Many listings are providing gloves and boots for the clients, and this can help a bit. That said, proper precautions should still be taken and hopefully many markets will proceed to bounce back in the coming weeks.
