This Week...Step By Step
It may not seem like it but step by step...day by day, we’re pushing through to where we hope to be.
If you’re going through hell, keep going. Winston Churchill
Our area had sun, clouds, rain, cool temps, and even warmer temps. Onalaska, TX-75 miles north of Houston suffered a devastating tornado that sadly killed 3 people.
At times it seems that people have settled into this new way of living our lives. Perhaps we have acquiesced to what we collectively need to do to.
Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success. Edward Everett Hale
As of Monday (April 27th), Harris County residents are required to wear some kind of face-covering or face a possible $1,000 fine. Many already wear them when going into the market or drugstore.
Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings. William Arthur Ward
Times being what they are, there is a lawsuit being filed against this. Houston’s mayor has taken a more gentle approach to handling this...suggesting his officers will remind those without masks to wear them, at the same time, offering them free masks.
I had a few highlights this week… my niece Stephanie dropped off homemade brownies so I got to wave at her, her husband, and their son.
The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Richard Bach
And the next day, my other niece Jennifer dropped off a favorite decadent treat...donuts from Shipleys. So I was able to send air kisses and hugs to her two sons and my mini-me.
Lemonade out of lemons folks!
Have a wonderful weekend being physically
and socially together!
