8 homes sold in Cureton during the First Quarter of 2020, 7 more than in the same quarter one year ago. New listings were also up compared with the same quarter one year ago -- up by 8 homes.

 

Cureton home sellers received 98.51% of asking price on average. Average days on market were also markedly lower at 54 days -- 44 days lower than one year ago. While both average and median listing and sale prices of homes were lower in Quarter 1, 2020 compared with Quarter 1, 2019, this is less an indication of a dimunition in home values in Cureton versus the price mix of homes sold in the most recent quarter. Home prices in Cureton can range from the lower $300,000's to the high $600,000's. Average sale price in Cureton in the first quarter 2020 was $459,188. Median sale price was $418,750.

 

As the first quarter 2020 ended, 12 homes were listed for sale in Cureton, one of which is custom, new construction. 5 homes were in contract at quarter-end.

Hello Nina - that's a big range of prices in the Cureton neighborhood in Waxhaw so knowing and keeping up to date on activity as you do is good for prospecitve buyers/sellers considering a move.  Knowledge certainly has an advantage.  

I am sure the country club feeling of the neighborhood without the country club prices is appealing as well.

Michael Jacobs hi Michael... Cureton was built out by a plethora of builders and actually functions as smaller neighborhoods within a large neighborhood... hence the wide variety of home prices and home styles, which include a townhome section, as well.

We were told yesterday sales in our area are off 87% due to the restrictions we are operating under right now. But things still seem to be listed and some homes are going under contract. People are getting very frustrated.
