Paint Pal....

By

Have you met my friend?!

The Pocket Palette?!? Can I just tell you how wonderful this little device is and how well it works. Granted it works with Benjamin Moore paint only but seeing I really only use their paint it's perfect for me. Have you ever gone somewhere or seen a color that you thought would be PERFECT in a room or as an accent wall? Then this is what you need. It literally will find a Benjamin Moore paint for you that matches almost perfectly to the color in question. If you ask me it is worth it's weight in gold. ;)

Cool tool!  I haven't seen it before, but it is a bit pricey!

Christine, that is pretty innovative.. It's a shame that our BM store closed, closest one is about 35 miles away but it looks like you can order the pocket palette.. It is a pretty expensive gadget ... God bless,

I know I freaked at the price at first but I am used it to so much that to me it's priceless. Especially when helping clients repaint with the same color, I can actually find a near perfect match.

I have had mine for two years. I have found it to be inconsistent. It works well on painted surfaces only. If you want to find a paint that goes with a section of a rug or sofa, for example, and you use it on that surface; it is not so good.

The technology that is used on paint stores that computer color matches just about anything you bring in is about $3,000. A small pocket version for $300 just can not compare.

It is useful but I have found it has its limits. Just my two cents.

Julie - Sorry to hear you have had problems that sucks. I personally have used it on fabrics and it's worked wonderfully. I have also used it on magazine articles too. You know when you look in a magazine and see a color you just love and think would be perfect somewhere but they don't give the brand or name?!...anyhow I have used it on that with much success. Maybe I just haven't tried anything too difficult. Did you get yours when it first came out?
