Many of us had Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, clay, and trucks that you actually had to push when we grew up. Today’s children have electronic cars that can be remotely operated and devices that are almost always on.
The other day my niece sent me these photos of what mini-me has been doing while everyone is staying at home. She had taken ribbons she found and remade many of Barbie’s dresses.
While I love today’s technology, it is a hope of mine that creativity and imagination will not be lost in our youth today.
Let’s encourage our children to play and create. Find ways to play so that their imagination will be engaged.
