Nothing To See Here Except A Glass of Iced Tea - Wordless Wednesday

Wordless Wednesday! Today marks 40 days since we have been "Shelter in Place" here in Lake Arrowhead. It's been a very different way of life, but I have taken the time to challenge myself not only in business but also in lifestyle. I've done several things already in my business while taking advantage of this time until everything reopens. Personally, I've taken time to reflect, I've built a few puzzles and I've just sat with nature enjoying the fresh air.

While some believe their freedom has been taken, I chose to not worry about the places I couldn't go or the things I couldn't do and I focused on freeing my mind. It was empowering and exhilarating. All of those things that I was always too busy to do, I now found the time to do. Even to just stop, slow down and think. I was able to do all of that and then some. Whether it was to create new goals, business strategies or make myself a glass a homemade iced tea, I did these things and it has felt wonderful.

Freeing my mind meant I wasn't focusing on the problem(s), the scarcity or the virus. That in itself was empowering. It shows that no matter what life throws at us, we get to make a conscious choice of how we respond.

I responded with some fresh iced tea, some fresh air and beautiful mountain and lake views.

Hello Kat - you're right. Sure, there are those who may fret about their freedom but you are taking a more positive path in my opinion during this time.  Here's to more puzzle-solving, plan-making and continued good thoughts.

Finding the silver lining in any cloud definitely makes life, no matter where it goes, so much more enjoyable. I hope today is a day full of ice tea and outdoors as well!

A wise use of your time and spending time in thinking or pondering is always a way to potentially find a new way to look at something.

Good for you Kat!  Sometimes it's good to let yourself reboot...to have the time to slow down and understand what you want and need to do. It looks like you're doing just that.

Hi Kat:

Good for you! It's really all about your perspective and your attitude. You can choose to be miserable, or not.
