For those of you who have been following me on Facebook recently, you know I haven’t had the best luck finding compatible physical exercise in absence of my usual swimming. Because Covid-19 has shut down my health club, swimming is not currently an option for me.
Last week, I reported an incident while I was dancing to Indian drumming tunes out on my back patio. The activity almost precipitated a 911 call from my neighbor. Because he couldn’t hear the music coming from my ear buds, but saw me jumping around in sharp pronounced movements, he started to reach for his telephone. I have remedied that particular activity with little peril, by dancing in my garage. . .while making certain the garage door is down!
This Monday, I decided to begin riding my bike more. Views along the American River Parkway this time of year, are always spectacular. And, yesterday, while enjoying the landscape, I spotted 4 deer walking among the grasses! It prompted me to stop and take their photo! However afterward, when I went to step back onto my bike, my right foot somehow got involved in a wrestling match with the bike frame, and it, and I tumbled soundly to the ground. The bike fared better than I did. The bike collected a little dust and a broken basket made of wicker. . .I landed face first!
After finding my way home, a few miles away, I cleaned my face and noticed I had visible damage, but thought a pair of sunglasses would cover it, should I need to go out in public. However, this morning, I learned a significant lesson from this blackeye. They grow much uglier overnight!
It was just reported that Sacramento County has extended the Stay-at-Home order from April 30th to May 22nd. And, for me, with my current state of beauty, that’s not necessarily a bad thing!
The good news is my pantry and refrigerator are full. I have plenty of supplies for a self-incarceration until I heal. There’s nothing left to do, but chill and enjoy life in a more reclined position, while enjoying the Spring Progression of Colors on my face!
