When it comes to marketing, “sheltering in place” is the ideal venue.  The only negative is having the marketing materials prepared. Postcards are my job, but the printing is done by a local printer with a skeleton crew. That means his turn-around time is longer.

 

I’m waiting for our mass mailing to land. This is the ideal time to be visible.  The unemployment rate has skyrocketed.  People know they are safe NOW from foreclosure, but all good things come to an end.  I think we will see many who will dodge that bullet by selling and salvaging their equity, until the dust settles.

These are the change of status postcards for our listings. They will all be mailed together. They’ll land at the same time, along with the mass mailing.

 

Stay visible! Show them your production! People like to do business with successful people.

Don’t have any gaps with your marketing. This is the time to “market like you mean it.”  Those postcards will be mailed at the same time and land together.

 

Think about the powerful message that brings when a homeowner who is thinking about selling, or must sell, receives 3 or 4 of your postcards and one, or none, from anyone else?  

 

Be mindful of the probability of many new listings and potentially depressed listings coming on the market in the very near future. Be Visible…. Be Very Visible.

 

Just a thought for now…..

George Souto there are many who are truly out of business because they either cannot or don;t want to spend any money on marketing.... they WILL feel that in the not so distant future....

Barbara, I think the savvy buyers are waiting to see if there will be "deals" with foreclosures and short sales.  I had to explain, homeowners have lots of equity since our market has increased so much over the past years.   Probably won't know there is a deal.  Great postcards to be sending out now.

Rose King a minimum of 200, but in the right areas, I would mail 500....just think about it.... the one  you don't mail to is the one who will call another agent!!

Jane Chaulklin-Schott  never stop marketing.... you never know when one MUST sell for whatever reason IN WHATEVER MARKET !!!

Roy Kelley people will not leave their equity on the table.... they'll squeeze every dollar they earned.... so that means, they won't wait for the final swing of that hatchet....

Joan Cox there won't be many deals, if any at all.... when the bank takes it, the bank wants fair market or close to it.... and sellers are not going to lose their equity to a buyer.... they'll live there for free until it's taken from them ....
