Happy May 1st or Lei Day, celebrations marking the beginning of spring in the Hawaiian archipelago have been canceled this year do to the contagion of Covid-19. The usual variety of activities and entertainments, parades, lei competitions, and grand displays will be suspended until next year. well... the "open" is very conditional... still distancing, but yet allowing people to make a living.  Still not going out with friends and seeing my parents yet.  Definately staying safe.
