Selling and Buying Your Home in Maryland During Covid-19
In challenging times like these, I want to stay connected with everyone and keep you updated on the current real estate market. Although Long & Foster’s offices remain closed to the public, we are still here to serve all your real estate needs – while making your health and safety a top priority.
We’ve found there’s still a demand for housing, although some consumers have hit the pause button on purchasing or selling a home. Properties that are temporarily off the market, for example, have increased, but consumers continue to browse online for homes.
With so many people working remotely and spending more time at home, traffic and inquiries to our website have increased dramatically, which further demonstrates that the demand for housing remains strong, especially with interest rates being so low.
While some mortgage companies have closed their doors or greatly restricted their lending policies, our partners at Prosperity Home Mortgage are still offering the vast majority of loan products available in today’s market. Although mortgage guidelines are changing, conditions are favorable for qualified buyers and interest rates remain low.
I’m proud to be affiliated with Long & Foster, a company that has weathered many storms, while successfully serving our clients for more than 50 years and will continue to do so for the next 50 years. And I’m proud to be your trusted real estate partner.
We are doing a number of things to help keep our customers and families safe, including:
Virtual Showings and traveling in separate cars to showings when necessary
Virtual Open Houses
Utilizing 3D tours and HDR Photography and social media to market our listings
Digital signature platforms for signing documents
As many meetings as possible by video technology
Washing and sanitizing our hands before, during and after each meeting and showing
Maintaining a safe 6 foot distance at all times
Asking sellers and buyers if they have traveled outside the area or been exposed to anyone that has been ill in the last month.
I hope you and your family are safe and healthy. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the real estate market.
