Who would have thought that such a thing as Corona/virus could bring the world to a halt. I thought Corona was a cold beer to enjoy after mowing the lawn. I would have to say with all the hype about the sky is falling, and some folks giving us crazy numbers that we are all going to die certainly scared the pants off of me. So the real numbers are coming out looking something like .0000004 not exactly but close, I would say I am over it and getting back to my life. A friend of mine on Activerain network, Endre Barath made a comment that I should get back to blogging so here is what I been doing in this time of PANDEMIC.
I live just 10 minutes to my favorite surf spot. The county of Maui has been letting us do ocean sports, so when it's been good I been surfing. Windsurfing is a little more of a production being I have to carry more gear to get to the ocean being they closed the park of my favorite windsurfing spot. I also have had more time to work on my guitar skills, working on some leads. Lucky for my wife and daughter I play downstairs.
This is my office, love hanging out here with my cats. I been zooming, this is something I do a lot more of to stay connected. I decided after realizing the sky isn't actually falling that I better get back to work. Let's see there is marketing, SEO on my website, and yes blogging. Even though the real estate market seriously slowed down there is business going on in Maui. Yes we have different ways we have to conduct business, but we will adjust to life in 2020.
This is my garden. It's been full of weed the last couple years, I been busy. So I hauled in Hollow tile bricks and installed them so it's easy to maintain the weeds. My garden is 26X26 I just planted watermelon today. Almost have the whole garden planted. I also planted 10- papaya trees, looking forward to fresh papayas so good. I work all over the island selling real estate, but my home is on the northshore. My wife and I built our home 30 years ago on two acres and raised four children and we now have five grandchildren.
I been helping my daughter Meili with her two horses. She works at the Marriott in Wailea, hopefully they will open in June. We set up a couple pens so the horses can hang out at the house and my compost pile is looking good.
I do have a couple new listings in Wailea Ekahi, two 2BR/2BA condo units price over $2 Million each.
So our Governor says we will slowly start opening up Maui. Our parks are open again, just can't sit on the beach, oh well. There hasn't been any tourist and it is nice driving on the roads with no traffic. I am looking forward to getting back to life as we know hopefully. I am over Ground Hog Day.
I went for a bike ride today exploring the coast to find easy access so I could go wind surfing. Only a couple people out windsurfing and the beach was pretty empty. I shall return.
There is a saying, okay it's my saying. If your going to be stuck anywhere during this dam virus, might as well be stuck on Maui. If you thinking about moving to Maui. Give me a call. I am still selling real estate and Maui is a great option during the Great Pandemic. So as they say lucky we live Maui.
