My father in law just emailed me a picture that I must share. This photo was taken on Friday the 13th, 1969. At about 5am a garbage truck lost its brakes and rolled down a big hill right into their house! At the time, my husband was about 14 and had 4 younger brothers and sisters. The youngest was 2. Amazingly, no one was hurt and my husband slept through the whole thing! It took 5 months to repair the house and the family, (5 kids and 2 adults )had to stay in the local Holiday Inn - imagine that with 5 kids! Are you superstitious on this day?
WOW
I guess if you look at the bright side. All they needed to do was back the truck out, turn it around and throw all the broken house parts into the back and haul it off in one loan. That would make the cleanup job go quicker.

Actually, not superstitious at all. My parents were married on a Friday the 13th, so every time the 13th falls on a Friday of any month my Dad sends my Mom a dozen roses and they've been married for 47 years. So, I guess you could say it's their "lucky" number!! Happy Friday the 13th!!! :)
Hey, Susan. I have always had great things happen on Friday 13th; like today I wrote a contract. I always look forward to these fridays. Thanks for sharing and I am so glad that no one got hurt. Take Care, Jim
My mom, stepdad and husband were all born on Friday the 13th. It's just another day!
No, any day in real estate can be as scary as Friday the 13th! LOL! Just kidding!
wow - that is amazing that nobody was hurt. Is your hubby still such a sound sleeper?
