Why Bash the Competitors?

I don't want to get started on a rant.  But, when I hear about some of the crazy things some sales consultants say to get people to buy with them, it is just CRAZY.  I don't even know what else to say.  Just CRAZY!  What happen to integrity?  What happened to professionalism in the sales industry?  What makes sales consultant bash their competitors?  Do they not realize that the truth will come out?  I try to be as professional as possible at all times.  But let me tell you, sometimes it is hard.  You hear all these untrue things your competitors are saying about your product and it just puts a fire under your bottom.  I almost want to take it personal.  I take pride in the homes I am selling and in the materials we use.  It would be real easy for me to drop hints about my competitors.  There is alot of not so pretty things on the internet about all of them.  It just is not who I am.  I choose to take the high road.  I choose to be a professional.  I choose to show people why my homes are the best in the neighborhood.  And guess what!  I dont have to talk about any one to get them to buy homes from me.  And my home buyers respect me for it.  If you are put into a position as a sales consultant to where you can not sell your homes with out dogging the competition.  You might want to reconsider the career choice you have made.  Go back to the basics.
