It is “common sense marketing” that directs me to use print marketing for visibility. With the high percentage of employees working from home and the number of people unemployed and collecting benefits, readership for local newspapers is probably at an all- time high. We know everyone will at least glance at every piece of mail!
This extremely damaged economic environment is not expected to be a quick fix. We will experience phone calls from homeowners who will be requesting a market analysis. They are more interested now than ever before in knowing what their equity position is in today’s market, if they are forced to sell.
Visibility is most important to listing agents. I did a mailing that landed last week, and there will be another one within a few weeks. We received a phone call for a Free Market Analysis. I believe more will come!
Along with the mailings, our full page monthly marketing piece in the local newspaper is very important. One source complements the other. Each month, the newspaper displays the mailed postcard for that month surrounded by our New, Active, Pending Sales and Closed inventory for that month and the offering of a Free Market Analysis. People can see that we do business.
Each month takes on a different theme that reflects the “topic for the month.” Last month was Covid-19, and this month will be a brighter topic, Father’s Day.
The bottom line is remain Visible during this difficult time, in order to survive. No one is soaring with the eagles right now, but if you have consistent income, you’re doing well. That’s accomplished with excellent visibility.
Just a simple thought for the moment….. I like simplicity!
