Much of the country is home alone, sheltering in place. Regardless of your own personal feelings about this, we have clients who are scared or frustrated or possibly depressed due to it. Now is the perfect opportunity to show them the true nature of REALTORS: we care. We’re about relationships.
Call your clients, old and new. Ask them how they’re doing. Be willing to listen. See if they need anything. Help them network for the things they need that you might not necessarily have.
Send a letter or a card to your clients. Receiving friendly mail in the midst of a strange new world can be a welcome thing.
Form an accountability team with other REALTORS in your office. We’re in the same doldrums as the rest of the world and it can be easy to be lulled into the electronic haze. Set realistic goals for yourself and with the help of the others on your team, you’ll achieve greatness.
Take that course, earn that accreditation. Now is the perfect time to add some alphabet soup after your name. Pick the designations that you’ve always wanted, some of which are lower in cost or free now, and just do it! Don’t leave yourself in the dust such that you’ll “should” on yourself at some point in the future. “Oh, I really should have done that during Corona.”
Set up a zoom party for some of your clients, especially ones who might be new to your area, introducing them to others via the party. I’m working on a murder mystery night with several clients for this next week.
More ideas? I’d love to hear them! Let’s help one another, and our clients, to not only survive this but to emerge as better people.
