Good news Curtis Van Carter

People need to get out and enjoy the great outdoors.

I must confess, I've not heard of Pickleball before reading this post.  I'm still learning after all these years!

Hi Curtis Van Carter - Thanks for your phone call today! It's always great to hear from you. But I must confess, I'm with Kathleen Daniels - I have no idea what Pickleball is either! In any case, I'm glad to hear things are opening up in phases and I hope you stay healthy, happy, and well!

I really enjoyed reading what you wrote in this blog post. It's important to know. Take care!

I'm hopeful we will have success in opening up some of our businesses once again.  I really miss swimming at my local health club.

I have heard of more tennis courts opening back up in my area which makes me happy of course.  I am tired of having to drive farther than normal to get a tennis match in, haha.

Kathleen, Patricia

I too have never heard of it until one day, I hear this pong, pong from the old tennis courts behind my previous home. Something like hitting a solid ping pong ball. I have to admit, it is about 10 times more popular than tennis at these courts. cheers cvc

I think one of the 3 Bay Area counties that did open up last Friday did permit swimming. Hopefully soon where you are, cheers cvc

Hi Curtis - changes are coming, even here in SF and San Mateo counties, although not as quickly as in your area. I think tennis (with precautions you've mentioned) and swimming will be available here sooner rather than later -- my husband as well as Myrl Jeffcoat would love that.

It is good we are moving in the right direction.  I understand most of them, but what is rally scoring (no serving)?  We may play a little Pickleball later today!

Hello Curtis - it's interesting to see when and how different parts of our country(and even in our state) are opening.  Baby steps at times and that's okay.

Michael

I agree though I constantly think about how Sweden is handling this by keeping everything open. Granted they are twice as populated as Norway, who has shelter in place, but only have 3 times the infection and deaths. I have been reading a great deal about whether it is better to hunker down or get it over. A very complicated issue, cheers cvc
