I just wanted to post a bullentin to let everyone know this too can happen anywhere, please read.
At 8:30am June 12th our company was involved in a emergency conference call to let us know that our owner, The owner of Flagler Title Company, emptied our accounts including our escrow accounts and fled the state. Chicago Title, our underwriters came in and took over our offices.
He not only screwed over his employees by leaving but by not paying his employees the 2 weeks that we worked and we are going to be receiving no pay for cleaning up his mess in the upcoming weeks.
I have believed in the company from the begining and not only was I blind sided from it all but so was about 35-45 people that i worked with that too have families they have to support.
No one understands how a man owns a business for 33 years and decides to leave his home and business and friends and just take off with money that wasn't his.
I have decided to got to United Title Agencies. They have been such a big help that i cannot thank them enough.
I just wanted to let you know, please if you think there is something going on wherever you do your closings, just go with your gut. It will save you allot of time in the future.
Wish me luck in cleaning up a completly aweful mess in the upcoming weeks and that it will start raining money to support my family.
