Can you see it?

By

Ok, I am having a bit of a time seeing it, or anything else for that matter, closer than about 6 feet. You see, I broke my glasses yesterday. I am wearing some readers today for close work, like typing on the computer. I can see fine beyond 6 feet without glasses. Social distancing should be easier. As soon as someone breaks that 6 foot barrier, they turn blurry.

This got me thinking about all the other things we can't see. Like the start of the current pandemic, or the end of it for that matter. We certainly did not see the economy tanking like it did, but we can clearly see it now.

Home buyers and sellers sometimes don't have a clear vision either. Sellers believe their home should sell for MORE and buyers think it should be priced as LESS. Can they not see, or are they choosing not to see?

In all things, try to "See" what there is to see. I see what appears to be a glimmer of hope for both the economy and the country. Both are reemerging and healing may have started. Now if I can just get my glasses fixed.

Love this Peter- What we see is colored by so many things not the least of which is what we want to see. Therefore, I choose to see positive!

I hope by now your glasses are fixed! I wear contacts (or glasses) for distance and I hate when I don't have them on and need to see something. So impossible!

See from close up to distance it matters. Also see a bigger picture is important. I rarely want to talk to those I will not sell anything less than blah blah blah blah blah blah.  Good luck to you.

Thanks

I so get the glass thing Peter.  I bought new glasses months ago but they're not right so using my older ones for now.  I wonder what I'll see once I've got the new ones in hand!  I see positive now...and I'm certain my sight will be positive with the new ones. It's all perspective.

Hi Peter:

That was certainly a thoughtful post. People see through their own lens and it's not always the reality.

Some choose to see what they want depending on what side of the ''table' they are on.

I've noticed that as I get older I am reading things WRONG more & more. I read 'strippers enter here' & what it actually says when I look again twice is 'staff enter here'. I come up with just the most bizarre crap sometimes & as soon as I read it & question it I know that my glasses have failed me again. They are not my friend.

I am glad Kathy Streib shared this in her weekly post! People do see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear! Sometimes we need to polish the screen up a little!!  Plus none of us have a Crystal ball to see the future We just have to learn as we go and hopefully remember what we learn!

I am so frustrated with all the predictions coming out - nothing but gloom and doom - i think we will work through this - and why get your knickers in a wringer until we know what we are doing - but negativity sells newspapers - they see what they want to see

Hi Peter den Boer, sometimes, people see what they want to see, just makes them feel better I guess. However, sooner or later, whether they want to or not, they will see the true picture. I so get the glasses thing, I have several pairs all over the house and still manage to misplace them.
