Zooming Around The Room!
It looks like Zoom meetings are here to stay even as the restrictions are slowly easing, and FYI there so many uses for this tool.
1. Zoom Broker Previews
2. Zoom personalized virtual tours
3. Zoom Team Meetings
A few tips for zooming around the room.
Patricia Peyton posted an informative article titled “Body Language Consultant shares how to relax and be confident on Zoom.”
She offers research that indicates 55% of communication comes from body language, 38% tone of voice and 7% word choice. Breathing with an open and expansive body posture reflects confidence. Eye contact, looking directly into the camera, builds a warmer feeling of connection and trust. However smiling into the camera is more personable. (Personal tip remembering to smile at the beginning and the conclusion - no awkward grimacing.)
High emotion words (despite the 7% estimate) are powerful tools when painting a picture, particularly if you’re assisting a buyer purchasing a new home. After a Google search to look up the definition of the term high emotion words, I discovered a list of words recognized as evoking specific emotions.
Creating urgency - life changing, magical.
Conveying happiness - thrilled, delighted, exhilarated
Inspirational - enthusiatic, bold, upbeat
Setting a clear agenda outlines the process, establishes expectations and normalizes the process. When zooming with buyers the expectation is set that we will tour the homes, visit the floorplans narrowing it down to one that best meets the buyers needs and a specific homesite. Then we will discuss the next steps in the home buying process.
Zoom team meetings can be great allowing participants to interact. A great ice breaker Zoom Around The Room. It’s a race to be the first to locate an item and return to the camera. This idea came from Kelly Clarkston’s virtual afternoon show.
Smiling, breathing, eye contact and a agenda will have you zooming like a pro.
Scheduling personalized virtual appointments you can enjoy from the comfort of your home. Let’s begin your home buying journey - it’s magical.
