No, I'm not talking about Eliot Ness and his squad of agents.
Too often I find real estate agents are Untouchable, and not in a good way. If I (or even worse, a consumer) wanted to reach out to you to...oh I don't know...give you a referral?...there's no obvious way to reach you. Multiple clicks MAY get me to what I need, but face it, if you're in a market that hosts 1000's of agents, how hard is anyone going to work to find your contact info? The short answer? They're not. Neeeeeexxxxxxt!
So when you're working in the Rain, or on your website, keeping in mind you need to be compliant with your local license law, you need to have at least two main objectives:
1. Reinforce your service area. WHERE DO YOU WORK??
2. Making it VERY easy to contact you.
Take advantage of your opportunities to amp up your profile and your comments to make it blatantly obvious to even the most casual of observers how to do both.
Frankly if I haven't gotten people in this community to recognize we serve the Warren County/Cincinnati/Dayton Ohio area, I don't know what more to do! Seriously, I've embedded a MAP right in our blog signature!! Even if you're geographically impaired, you can click and zoom and figure it out :)
If you check your (or our) profile, you can see there are ample opportunities to embed WHERE you work and Contact methods (phone, email, websites, etc.). All the arrows point to places to either directly know where we work, how to reach us, or to go to another site (such as our home search site) that also provides opportunity to reach us.
All of those fields are editable. Click Edit Profile and you'll see the following. Use the Pencil icons to edit those fields.
Click the Contact block to get more access:
Make sure when you've finished your edits, you click DONE EDITING at the top left of your profile.
The nice thing about filling in these fields (and perhaps some others accessable via edit Blog Settings), is that you then populate your blog header AND it feeds over to comments you leave. There will be no shortage of subliminal advertising possibilities :)
Just spend a few minutes making sure your contact information is present AND up to date.
It just might be the difference between more business and a missed connection.
Until next Tuesday, just Ask An Ambassador if you need help,
Bill & Liz aka BLiz
