Delightful Discoveries

By
Real Estate Agent with GreatWest Realty DRE# 00827565

While out on my morning bike rides, it is the delightful discoveries along the journey that I enjoy most!  For example, this morning, I rode past this house around the corner of my own home.  The landscape in the front yard has burst into color.  Lively Lantanas in various hues are currently a boistrous attraction.

During California's severe drought years, many homeowners re-landscaped with less lawn and more drought resistant plantings.  I like the way this homeowner used flowers, cactus, succulents and rocks, to accomplish their goal.

Hi Myrl - that looks like the Phoenix desert way of planting! Gorgeous.  Our yard is awash with color, birds, butterflies etc.  So pretty!  Enjoy your day!

Anna Banana Kruchten Arizona's Top Banana!  - the recent drought lasted 7 years.  We had double rainfall last year, but have reverted back into drought conditions this year.  More and more, folks are planting like we are in a desert!

Roy Kelley - I hope you enjoy your holiday weekend too!

Sharon Lee - really do enjoy these bike rides.  They put me in a totally different frame of mind.

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD - I totally agree.  More and more folks are working with the environment, rather that doing battle with it!

George Souto - I'm glad you liked them!

We are used to that kind of landscaping here and it is surprising how much color can be found in plants that don't require a lot of water.

I enjoyed looking at these landscapes you discovered along the way.  I always enjoy seeing other people's flowers and care they put into their gardens. A

Thanks for sharing your photos, Myrl. They are beautiful. I haven't put out any plants on my deck, patio, or porch as it has been too cold. Today it was a warm and sunny day... no rain! So I hope to get my pots purring with colorful flowers.
