Parkside Condos are distinguished by their affordability and great location!  If you are lookingfor an affordable Bethesda Md condo that gives you the option of going walking to the Stratford Music Center or biking into Bethesda or hopping on the Beltway and I-270 easily, then Parkside is your first choice. Parkside was built between 1952 and 1966 as a rental community and converted to condo ownership in 1981.  It is a medium sized community of 954 units in 102 buildings located in a wooded setting spread over 69 acres.  There is one efficiency with 354 square feet, lots of one bedroom condos, two bedrooms condos, some with one bath or one and a half or two full baths, and three bedrooms with two baths. PARKSIDE CONDOMINIUMS HAS LOTS TO DO

Parkside has two large outdoor pools for residents in the community, two tennis courts, playgrounds, a ball field, jog/walk paths, and two clubhouses. You can even take the bike trail to downtown Bethesda. LIVING AT THE PARKSIDE CONDOMINIUMS BETHESDA MD

Life at Parkside is peaceful and quiet! It is a welcome respite from the noise of daily life - but it is so close to everything that is Bethesda.  The Grosvenor Metro (Red line) is a short walk from any of the units at Parkside and from there you can access all of the DC metro area. 

Parkside is very close to the Strathmore Music Center and a short distance to the White Flint Mall, which is in the process of being rebuilt.  

Located between North Bethesda and downtown Bethesda, residents have a choice of restaurants such as Seasons 52 on the Rockville Pike and Ruth's Chris Steak House on Wisconsin Avenue at the Air Rights Building.

SCHOOLS DISTRICTS FOR PARKSIDE CONDOMINIUMS BETHESDA MD

 

Parkside Condominiums are located in the Walter Johnson cluster of the Montgomery County public schools. Students that live in Parkside Condos will attend Garrett Park Elementary at 10803 Montrose Road, Tilden Middle School, and Walter Johnson High School. Nearby private schools include Georgetown Prep, Stone Ridge, and Academy of the Holy Child. 

 

PET POLICY AT PARKSIDE CONDOMINIUMS

Simply put, Parkside is not pet friendly.  While I could imagine walking my dog there, it willpro not happen!  Not everyone is a pet lover though, so it is good that there is a place where someone can live and not worry about allergy reactions or encountering a large and overly friendly dog.  

On the other hand, there are lots of birds, squirrels, and other wildlife in the woods that surround Parkside.  You will always have lots of wildlife activity to watch just outside your windows or from your balcony or patio.

HOW MUCH IS THE CONDO FEE AT PARKSIDE? WHAT DOES IT COVER?

The condo fee at Parkside ranges for $335 for a 731 square foot unit to a $425 for a 970 two bedroom one bath condo to $618 for a three bedroom two bath condo with 1426 square feet of living space.

The condo fee includes the pools, tennis courts, tot lot, walking paths, party rooms and community center.  It also includes heat, gas, electric, air conditioning, trash removal, water and sewer.  Outside maintenance and landscaping, snow removal, and professional management are part of that condo fee.  As you can see, that condo fee is very reasonable indeed!

 

RECENT SALES ACTIVITY AT PARKSIDE

Twenty two condos have sold at Parkside between December 2019 and May 2020.  The least expensive were the one bedroom one bath units with 731 square feet which sold for $175,000. Two 731 sq foot condos sold at that price in the last six months.  Condition always makes a difference however.  A similar sized unit that had been renovated sold for $234,900.  In addition a unit with 780 square feet sold for $235,000. 

A renovated two bedroom one bath unit with 1077 square feet sold for $300,000, while a 970 square foot two bedroom one bath sold for $270,000.  Someone was very lucky and snagged a 1216 square foot two bedroom two bath unit for $280,000.  Three bedroom units sold between $305,000 and $330,000, depending on the number of bathrooms, condition and total square footage.  To find out which condos are on the market right now, just click here.
