City of Gaithersburg Memorial Day Notices

 

Closures & Recycling
The City is closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. Recycling scheduled for Monday, May 25 will be collected on Saturday, May 23. 
 
Virtual Memorial Day Observance
The City will recognize fallen soldiers and all who have defended our freedoms over the years with a virtual Memorial Day Observance. The pre-recorded video observance will be shared on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube on Saturday, May 30.
 
Virtual Flags for our Heroes
Honor a hero in your life by donating to the Flags for our Heroes program hosted by the Montgomery Village, Gaithersburg and Historic Emory Grove Rotary Clubs. Donors of $20 or more will be official sponsors of a virtual flag for their hero of choice and will receive a virtual honoree medallion. 100% of the contributions will be used to support the charitable efforts of local organizations through the Rotary Clubs' grant program. Donate online here.

It's quite a different Memorial Day weekend here in Sacramento.  I agree with James Dray.  I suspect we will never see another time quite like it was before this pandemic.
