Masks, Booties, Wipes and Showing Homes

By

I am not complaining, as we now are allowed to show homes!   BUT, it is a challenge, opening lockboxes with gloves, sanitizing wipes, along with the other stuff we carry.   I am happy when I see a place to set some things down prior to putting on the mask, gloves, and getting the wipe ready.

This past week, I was showing homes and had the mask on and off going in and out of homes.   Have to remove it once I leave a home, just can't breath.

Sure enough, when I returned home, found I only had ONE earring left.   Sadness swept over me, as this was a set from my mom, and she passed over 30 years ago.   This set is probably not worth any money, just sentimental.

I sent an email to all of the listing agents and knew it was like finding a needle in the haystack, but had to try.   Lo and behold, one listing agent emailed back, and the Sellers DID find it, on the counter in the kitchen.   Strange, as I already had the mask on by then.

The Seller had it at the front door, and was SO thankful.   Sure wish I could have sold their home too!

It is a different way of showing homes, but at least we can get out and do our jobs. Happy to hear you found your earring, my ex, used to always  lose earrings, her jewelry box had all these singles in as she refused to throw them away just in case.

Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 I too save the single earrings, and it can be fashionable to wear two different earrings.....  BUT, so happy to have this pair intact again!

Roy, you are right, it is devastating, depending on which one is lost.

I think I will be getting used to wearing all this Equipment when we are not required to wear it any longer...

My glasses go flying every time I remove my mask. I'm glad you found your earring.

Happy memorial day weekend Joan Cox

Glad your earring was found, Joan. It's always sad to lose something of real sentimental value.  If you hadn't heard already, CDC now says that transmission of the virus from surfaces is unlikely... maybe that will mean we can stop scrubbing everything down.

Nina Hollander it does seem like we get conflicting directions weekly.   I hope so, as it is a pain.

Hi Joan Cox - So sorry to hear about losing one of your very special earrings from your mother but at least you got it back. There is enough anxiety without dealing with a loss. Rick gets slightly claustrophobic using a mask.  He is using a kerchief and that is not as bad.

Most of it has gone away here Joan. I even saw quite a few open house signs this weekend. I may try and do one next weekend.

Sheri, I think I got rid of all my bandanas, or would use one too.    Very happy to get my earring back!

Hi Joan. I'm glad you found your earring! That was really nice of the sellers to look for it and get it back to you. I also hate wearing the mask when showing homes. I will be glad when all of this is back to normal! Have a nice day!

Joan- so happy that you found your earring. It's hard wearing the mask, but I do wear one when I go into the store. I also rip it off as soon as I leave.

That sounds like quite the hassle, even more so than having to put on booties because some lazy sellers don't want to keep their home clean after showings, haha.  I am glad that your earring was found!
