This morning's low tide was at 6:30AM, which suited us perfectly. There were many dog walkers, fishermen, and gulls. Every one greeted each other with a cheery good morning. We saw a dog running in and out of the waves barking.
We stopped to see why he was barking...and there they were: a pod of dolphins.! Every time the dog barked, the dolphins popped up and dove. It was as if the dog was communing with the pod. I was able to get a picture of two fins. It was a joy seeing them, they always bring a feeling of joy to our hearts and souls.
"There's no question dolphins are smarter than humans as they play more."
~ Albert Einstein
"The happiness of the bee and the dolphin is to exist. For man it is to know that and to wonder at it." ~
Jacques Yves Cousteau
"It is of interest to note that while some dolphins are reported to have learned English - up to fifty words used in correct context - no human being has been reported to have learned dolphinese."
~ Carl Sagan
