Well, there it is in a nutshell. What is in it for me, the 203k consultant? Simply this, we can finance your purchase of a solar electric system as part of your 203k. If you couple an EEM (Energy Efficient Mortgage) with your 203k loan you can lower the buyer's ratios and save a deal. We had one years ago where the loan was due to close on the day after Christmas and the borrower's filled their credit cards up with gifts, to the tune of $8,000.
