A remarkable brand is memorable, easy to understand, easy to referYesterday, as we were about to pull out of our parking spot at Ace Hardware, we spotted this Fence Factory truck. Here is an example of remarkable branding explained. 

 

The branding on this truck tells you exactly what they do. It is easy to read including the phone number and the web address.   

 

The slogan, "we make good neighbors" is no doubt as a takeoff of a common proverb, "good fences, make good neighbors."  The color yellow is a cheerful,  feel good, and happy color.

 

The truck image includes a white picket fence with a yellow background. and the front and side depict a chain link fence.  The logo is an abstract of a fence with a roof.

Kris Collis, Associate Broker of course they had a company, I have not yet seen anyone who has come up with this kind of clarity on their own...I think that many assume that branding is easy,...As a real estate company or agent many carry on about their integrity, their expertise and their awards and designations.  Not a word of that was on this truck!  A

Hi Ron and Alexandra Seigel - I always love it when you give us examples of branding and challenge us.  You show us the pluses and minuses and I for one appreciate it.  I also went to the website because that would be your next instinct if you are going to use this company.  I personally thought the website was easy to follow.  If a website is convoluted and hard to figure out than you are more liked to leave and not use the company.  This was a homerun!

Too many companies do not start from the very first thing they should do, create a mission statement! The mission statement should be short and for someone to know exactly what the company is about if the statement was shouted from a rooftop! The brand and marketing become easy after your mission statement is established. This company has a clear mission statement!
