This one came from one of my aunts in Pennsylvania. I call it Ymmy chicken casserole at a young age.
1 (10oz) frozen broccoli, chopped 2 tsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. each butter and flour 2 cup diced cooked chicken
1/2 tsp salt 1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, sauteed
1/4 tsp pepper 1/4 cup Parmesan grated cheese
1/4 tsp nutmeg 12 canned refrigerated biscuits
1 1/2 cup grated Swiss Cheese 2 cup milk.
Cook broccoli and drain. Melt butter in saucepan and blend in flour, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Gradually add milk. Cook until slightly thicken. Stir in Swiss cheese, lemon juice, chicken, mushrooms and broccoli. Pour lightly greased and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Top with biscuits and bake at 365 degree for 1/2 hour. Makes about 6 servings.
