Nothing like a little pandemic to make one appreciate things so often taken for granted in our "normal" lives. My life this past week provided excitement beyond my wildest expectations!
First, our younger daughter, Carol, came to town from Colorado for a quick 48 hour visit. How exciting to have company!
Second, Carol and I went shopping at Marshall's/Home Goods for an hour. We didn't buy anything major... I bought some birthday cards for upcoming birthdays and a new leash for Bingo. Carol bought a pair of shoes. But just the idea of being able to go out and do some shopping like "normal people" was excitement in and of itself.
On Tuesday, I actually managed to get my hair cut... my first haircut in almost five months! Truly a red letter day. As I've said to some people... I've felt like a new woman all week and five pounds lighter!
Today, I went out and personally showed a home to long-standing clients! After so many weeks of being considered "non-essential" it was wonderful to get out and be "essential." And even better to see and catch up with some of my favorite clients. I've often said that after 26+ years in this business I never needed to see or show another home again... I'm eating my words today.
I just can't imagine how this coming week could be more exciting... well... maybe if my nail place opens this week and I can get a mani/pedi before the week is out I'll truly be in heaven. Then, of course, there's still the excitement of eating out at a restaurant to come.
Here's wishing all a new week so full of excitement you won't be able to stay calm because you're so freaking excited!
