Marketing Yourself as a Real Estate Agent

Mortgage and Lending with Olympus Labs

The real estate industry is extremely competitive due to the vast financial rewards that a top agent can reap. Agents that work with real estate companies or are independent still have to do marketing. The right marketing strategy can allow for healthy leads to consistently be created. The best thing that a realtor can do is to make sure they have a healthy referral program that truly rewards previous clients. There are a variety of ways to market in today’s world that include both traditional marketing and digital marketing. Below are some tips to market yourself as a real estate agent.

Marketing Online

Online marketing is extremely important as people flock to the search engines when they need to find a service or product. Search engine rankings for an agent can allow the agent to create leads organically. A sound marketing strategy including content creation, social media, and a great website are all required. The last thing a real estate agent wants is to lose a lead due to their website looking unprofessional or poorly put together. Digital marketing can be a full-time job in itself which is something to keep in mind. Hiring the right digital marketing professionals or agency has to be done carefully. The last thing you want is to pour money into a marketing campaign that delivers nothing in terms of ROI.

Traditional Marketing

Traditional marketing still works whether it is being featured in a local print publication or renting out a billboard. Custom fridge magnets are a great way to stay relevant in the minds of people that are using them. Being published in local neighborhood papers is a great way to find people in the area that might be looking to buy or sell their home. Even things like bus benches having a real estate agent on them can boost the presence in the local area.

Zillow is the perfect place to find clients that are currently in the market to buy or sell their home. There are plenty of ads on the platform along with possibilities of having client preapproved. Far too many times agents will have prospective clients that financially will not be able to get a loan.

Referral Marketing

Rewarding people with a few hundred-dollar gift card can be enough to have current and previous clients referring all kinds of business to an agent. A small gift card will not incentivize people like that of a substantial amount. Most happy clients will refer you regardless but this is a great way to encourage them to do so. Promote this referral system as former clients will not be able to participate if they do not know about it.

As you can see you are going to need an all-inclusive marketing strategy in order to maximize leads. The best agents are those that take care of their clients and work with families for years. Being a well-known agent in the area can work wonders and make sure to partner with a lender that provides leads as well.
