What I Learned This Week at ActiveRain-June 28  to July 4, 2020

I learn something new every day at ActiveRain! With this series, I try to highlight one post per day that gave me that lightbulb moment. It could be something techie, something about Real Estate or the other professions that I never knew, about a place, or about a person. Or, it could be a post that made me sit up and take notice!

NOTE: I began this series on a whim on February 4, 2012, and have never missed a Sunday. I’ve written while on my long road trips and even wrote during Hurricane Irma in 2017.

However… this week there are some posts missing.  My draft for this week is somewhere lost in Cyberville and the blogs from last week are missing from the ActiveRain Blogroll as well.

I cannot find Grant’s post but if it returns, it will be worth your reading. There were some other good ones I hoped to share with you and should they return, I'll try to include them down the road.

We work so hard to get where we are, we often forget that we need to ask this question to those who work with us and to those who use our services.

Doug often shares very thought-provoking posts and I love reading what he contemplated.

Do yourself a favor and read Ted's post. Put politics aside and open your mind to a well thought out post.

You have to read Marte's story about bringing fireworks to her area. It shows us what any of us can do if it's what we truly want.

Don’t forget to check out Carol Williams Second Chance Saturday posts as well!!! I always find several posts that I’ve missed.

You can find previous What I Learned This Week at ActiveRain posts here.

Thank you for letting me do what I love doing...learn something new and interesting every day!

Wow, 2012! I'm glad that whim struck you, as I always love seeing what you saw and I did not. Then I go off and read them. Thanks as always!

I think the Rainrats ate them. Some of my remarks take forever to post. OH well it is 2020.

Hi Kathy Streib - Thank you for everything you do.

I have noticed huge issues with this website over the last few months as well.  Every blog I write has to be re-formatted at least 3 times.  It is very frustrating.  This week, I couldn't even get into the site because the site "was under a heavy workload".

The powers to be that run this site need to re-design it and acquire more server space.  I hope this does not go unnoticed.  Active-Rain needs some tender loving care! There must be some glitches in the code.

Hi Kathy,
Good for you for getting this up!!!  You are a trooper and should get some kind of a prize for this amazing long-standing series. I lost ALL of my Second Chance Saturday draft that was waiting to be finalized Friday. Very disappointing.  If it is recovered I will get it posted. I've only been doing my series for a little over 3 years and have missed weeks due to travel and/or illness.  You are to be commended for your undying commitment.  Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
