Yesterday a wedding took place amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. It took place in Cleveland, Ohio outdoors (you know... social distancing?) in clothes-drenching heat and humidity.
The bride was beautiful (she's my daughter... fortunately she gets her looks from her mother... phew!) the groom was even presentable.
Because the weather was so warm, the ceremony was brief. We couldn't have the bride's make-up melting, now could we?
The attendees kept their social-distance.. My daughter was very concerned... she didn't want to be responsible for causing any of her guests to contract the Corona virus.
We kept such a social-distance that while the wedding was outdoors at the lakefront, I was sitting comfortably in my air-conditioning back in Chicago. Her sister (and family) were sharing from California. Yep, it was a zoom wedding.
None of the attendees, parents of the bride, parents of the groom, and family... none of them were physically present. Just the bride, groom, officiant and zoomographer. But we were totally there in spirit.
Welcome to 2020. Mazal Tov!
