Speechless Sunday: Illegal Fireworks in Los Angeles...

Well I will try to keep this to minimal word. Now with that said last night the Fireworks kept going past 3am... Diane woke up around 3:30 am and the fireworks continued. Then look what the news had to say. The picture tells it all... as you can see the photo was taken before 9 pm.

www.endrebarath.com

This morning Diane complained about the Air Quality and I casually mentioned to her because it was like being in Combat  Zone seven or eight hours non stop fireworks.... seriously  it was worse than a simulated combat exercise. Later this evening she sent me a link about the Airquality and I would be remiss if I did not share with you.

Los Angeles had the worst Air Quality on the Globe today

In case you are not in the mood to read it let me cut and paste  section for your parusal:

The spike in poor quality comes the morning after residents throughout the county detonated fireworks well into the night as part of apparent 4th of July celebrations. An amended L.A. County order had prohibited public fireworks displays this weekend, but that ban did little to stop residents from taking matters into their own hands.

Clearly you can immagine what pet owners and the poor wild life outside the homes experienced last night...

Wishing you a safe and healthy life and I look forward to your comments.

I hope you had a grand Fourth of July also. By the looks of it Los Angeles did not heed the no fireworks order by the mayor and the governor and the pollution was not quite to the level pre-pandemic proportions but it was close...

Have a wonderful week Endre Barath, Jr.

Hi Endre- As we drove around our area this past week we saw fireworks stands almost on every corner. The community behind our home usually has a few fireworks but they were done by about 9:30 and were not excessive, thank goodness.

Grant Schneider   like the year 2000 when professionals did it in NYC is what it reminded me of... this was sadly done by amateurs and it kept going and going...what a waste of money...Endre

Oh my gosh, that is insane! We saw a lot of private fireworks displays at Hilton Head since the COVID shut down the city's annual show but, it was nothing like the normal 30-minutes-and-you're-done shows!

Reading Michael Jacobs' comment, I have to say that we experienced it for several weeks prior to Independence Day here too - totally ridiculous.

Hi Endre Barath, Jr. - You brought back some bad memories of living in SoCal.  Back then we had shake roofs and my husband would be wetting the roof down constantly because of bottle rockets hitting it.  You shouldn't have to go through this.

In Sedona, not one sound of any firework at all.  People realize that we could easily get a forest fire.  It is all about personal responsibility.

Hi Endre Barath, Jr., that's inconsiderate, some people have no regard for others. I also woke up around 3 am to large bang and boom sounds and sadly, still going on.
