Using a little creativity with the brain I was given and added to the inspiration shared by Steve Jobs as a gift to all mankind, below are my own personal thoughts and opinions based on his wisdom. If you would like to share your own thoughts, I'd love to read them.

  • Your time is limited... I accept the fact that a pandemic exists; however, I deny the power it has over me and what I can accomplish with my time on earth ---Patricia Feager

  •  So don't waste it living someone else's life... The opinion of the Media, Dr. Fauci, and other experts who have no experience with COVID-19 because it hasn't existed before now is like shooting a BB pistol with CO-2 cartridges and BBs in the dark. ---Patricia Feager

  • Don't be trapped by dogma... Scientific evidence by Dr. Daniel Amen, Board Certified American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology states "the brain is the most complex Organ with 100 billion nerve cells and more connections than stars." If this is true, that means the human brain must be, without a doubt, the most complex, expensive, and valuable real estate anybody (including billionaires) can own. ---Patricia Feager

  • Which is living with the results of other people's thinking...Listening and understanding other people's point of view doesn't mean I have to agree with them or argue because my viewpoint is different --- Patricia Feager

  • Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice... You were born with the potential to think for yourself, be yourself, and conduct your own behavior in ways it is not offensive to others ---Patricia Feager

  • And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition... Sometimes you have to forget about pleasing others and believing everything you hear is true. ---Patricia Feager

Debe Maxwell, CRS - Your virtual hugs came just in time. It would be an honor and a privilege to "catch up" with you when your time permits. Who could have predicted the whole world would go bonker? I'm feeling like a goldfish floundering all day long, 24/7 in a goldfish bowl. Why is it so damn hard to come up for air without a mask?

Patricia

After reading this, I came to the realization, I need a daily fix from you. I am beginning to go a bit crazy from all this and the isolation around me. I stare at the walls some days and still drink way too much.

I have had a good last week, not drinking and actually walked two days. Yet last Friday my computer is having the same issue they fixed a month ago and am awaiting the tech now. Went shopping yesterday and bought a bottle of tequila. I guess today will be my test of my will. Will I or won't I. Will let you know.

I don't mean to be such a poop here, but this is not fun any more. Thanks for being my friend, cheers cvc

Curtis Van Carter - You have a lifetime of experiences and you live in one of the most beautiful places in the United States of America. Plus, you have done extensive traveling and you know and understand that there are beautiful places to see and things to do in other countries, but when it comes right down to it, you are a Patriot. You love America.  Reading your poetry is like taking a long walk through the woods, smelling fresh air, tasting something different (other than tequila), and learning something new. "I guess today will be my test of will," is very bold and courageous. Believe in you, as others do.

Take care! Stay healthy!

Yes, we all need to use those billions of doohickeys in our brains to think for ourselves. That's what they are there for!

And we need to use our own intuition, feelings, desires, dreams, to act for ourselves.

And we need to establish, strengthen and grow our relationships with ourselves and others.

It's easier to do those things if we're not listening to news, social media or others all the time.

Debra Leisek - To be true to yourself is the best way to discover how to live successfully, no matter what challenges come along. The next best thing to having a dog with keen instincts is to be good to yourself and know that when you're true to yourself, your instincts will never lead astray. And when you don't have a dog, you have to rely on you. The responsibility for my life story begins with me.

Kat Palmiotti - Amen! I could edit your comments to make a prayer:

Lord, help me and other decision makers to "use those billions of doohickeys in our brains to think for ourselves."

Lord, the need for me and others to "use our own intution, feelings, desires, dreams, and to act for ourselves," is in desparate need of SALVATION. Please, help us Lord!

Lord, as "we need to establish, strengthen and grow our relationshiops with ourselves and others," give us courage to know the difference between what's real and what's fake.

Lord, forgive me for my transgressions for falling into the trap of believing those in the "news, social media or others," who proclaim to know all when they know nothing. After all, there is no human on earth who is God so help me to know the gospel truth that prestige, power, and greed by the almighty humans on earth who have other agendas are not always in my best interest.

Ricki Eichler McCallum - I consider you to be very wise too! Wisdom is possible. It becomes dormant when we allow others to speak and tell us what to do without questioning is this true? There is a BIG difference between validity and credibility. Dictionary says: validity is the state of being valid, authentic or genuine while credibility is reputation impacting one's ability to be believed. I look at it this way, real estate agents can have a designation which can be perceived that the individual is very smart, but then one must ask, is the information they are sharing valid? Is that person 'authentic and genuine," or just someone who can read and present information because what they are saying is without a doubt true?

Like we've all heard a million times or more, everything is subject to interpretation. Could that be why student tests are often questioned and challenged by the student when it comes to grading? Or why things can be argued either for or against?

Dorie Dillard CRS GRI ABR - I appreciate your comments so much. When we begin to "put things into perspective," and use our brain we evolve into better thinkers - that's my opinon.

Thank you!

Lise Howe - It seems surreal that this serious disease has so much power over every human being. The enforced decisions being made on the entire human race, depending on who says what feels evil to me. It's really hard to be humble and trust. May you and your daughter be safe.

LOVE your post!  I especially like your last "quote."  My mantra has always been to take gossip or news and verify it first before sharing tidbits of wisdom, lest we look like fools!  I've heard from so many different sources, mostly doctors and even one from a good GF, that there is no single, exact case of COVID.  Each of us can have different symptoms or none at all.  With that I just practice good common sense and stay away from others.

Yesterday I hosted a girlfriends happy hour as one of us may have it.  Thankfully I haven't seen her in weeks and don't go out in public except to the grocery store!  She was thrilled with our company and thanked us profusely.  Something so simple can turn someone's life around!

Validity and credibility,  interesting thoughts you shared here.  You are absolutely right also.  Many cannot or will not see that.  You are a deep thinker, my dear.  I love hearing your perspective and your quotes.  Keep it up!!!
