July Challenge...It’s Time to Reach Out and Touch Someone...Well- Not Literally!
**July 6: it just occurred to me that posts from June or written in June are missing including the July Challenge. In case you missed it or can’t find it...here it is.
Many of us have been enjoying the weekly Zoom Meetings (Tuesday- 2 PM CST). It’s been fun getting to see and hear people we “see” daily here at ActiveRain. At the first few Zooms, we watched while Brian England volunteered for his local food pantry while listening to the Zoom speaker.
Last week we all were delighted to learn more about Barbara Todaro’s “mahketing” with postcards.
Building relationships here has and continues to be the icing on the cake of the ActiveRain membership.
So, this month, Hannah Williams and I are hosting a challenge to reach out to a fellow member and call them. Then, write a post about it.
Now, the purpose is not to call your best buddy here that you call regularly. But pick up the phone and call, for instance, a member who comments on your post but you don’t really know...or a member whose posts you enjoy reading.
Call someone who lives in a state where your clients may be moving to.
Ask them how they got into real estate or what their market is like. It doesn’t really matter...what does matter is that you pick up the phone and get to know them. You can write about their background and family...what their hobbies are. It doesn’t matter.
So here are the rules…
The July Challenge begins July 1 and ends at midnight PST on July 31, 2020.
You can write 1,2, or 3 posts. Each post will earn 750 points.
Each post must be 300 words or more and contain at least 1 picture. (Hint: you can copy and paste the member’s photo or maybe they’ll send one to you to use)
Leave a link(s) to your post(s) in the comment section of this post. PLEASE...wait until you have completed all of your calls before adding the links.
BONUS POINTS: 750 extra points if one of your posts includes a call to a new member or a member who hasn’t posted on ActiveRain in a while.
Many of us are still staying in or limiting our contact with others. What better time is there than now to pick up the phone and have a conversation with one of your fellow members!!!
Let’s have some fun with this!!!
