FeedPot.com is a pet project I put together a year or so ago. Mainly because I was curious to see how often a new real estate post apears on the web. It's an almost real-time, ticker-like website, which tracks major real estate blogs and social networks for new posts and lists them as they come along.
I updated the feeds recently and it now tracks to the following aggregated RE feeds: 1) ActiveRain all member's feed, 2) Trulia Voices, 3) RELiberation all member's fee, 4) RealTown main feed, 5) Inman News feeds, 6) posts on FriendFeed filtered by "real estate" and 7) our RealBird listing feeds (all RB members).
During the day, I usually have a browser window in the background running the FeedPot ticker. Great distraction. I pick up great posts almost as soon as they get posted.
And the most frequent source of new posts is guess what? ActiveRain. Pretty much every time the screen refreshes during busy hours, a new ActiveRain posts appear.
Of course it is available in a widget format as well. You can for example put the widget on your Mac OSX Dashboard and track RE posts next to your stock ticker or post a widget on your blog's sidebar. If you are interested in using it as a widget, let me know, I tell you how.
