House vs Home

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with PrimeSouth Properties

There is a difference even tho most folks might not or don't recognize the difference.

The house is the building and the home is what you make of a house.

This idea has been strengthened these last few months as we have spent more time in our homes.  I feel now more than ever that most folks have discovered the more time we have spent in our home that it might be too large, too small or in the wrong location.

I can help you find a new home.

Finding the right person can be hard, but finding the perfect house shouldn't be. Let me help you find your forever home today!

My definition of home: You walk in the front doors, and gratefully say, "Ahhhhh"

So true!  Making a home requires emotional attachment, something a house doesn't have!

Great post - congrats on getting it featured in the daily e-mail!

The difference is subtle, but I often use the words "House" or "Property" with my sellers to help them disconnect emotionally from the "Home" they are selling.

Right on target with this blog about "home" !  I often use that term when talking to buyers....they will know when they walk into their new 'home' - so often it's a feeling.
