Thanks to the tech issues with Active Rain
and massive June posts & points loss,
I was able to do something pretty unique in the Rain:
I crossed the 1,000,000 point level
for a second time this year!!!
How you ask?
I let a set-back become a set-up
for a comeback.
I didn't stop penning, posting and participating due to the loss.
Setbacks are part of life, marriage, family, business, health, etc.
We need time to process the 5 stages of grief that come with each:
We need to go through these stages for loss: a loved one, a job, a marriage or thousands of points in this case...which is really the disappointment of the loss of time and effort. But, it's recoverable, one way or the other...if you don't quit.
Kathy Streib said it wonderfully with her words and this quote in her
Testing Our Patience post last Saturday:
Patience is not the ability to wait,
but the ability to keep a good attitude
while waiting. Anonymous.
"And then there is the well of patience we’ve had to draw from
while this (AR) site is down. What I know is that I can’t control
what happens regarding this site, but I can control
what I do and my own attitude."
So I'm enjoying reaching 1,000,000 points again,
having some fun by beating support to this occasion,
(some of you might have seen my "dare" in the Q&A),
despite the loss of so many posts and points in June.
