Home values keep rising, and we are firmly planted in the midst of a seller's market here in Jacksonville FL.
COVID has had NO negative effect on the selling prices of homes in the Jacksonville Metro area.
In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Low inventory and high demand (due to historically low interest rates) has put upward pressure on list prices, and appraisals are holding steady.
Per the NEFAR stats for June 2020, the sales prices of homes in the market has risen 5.4% year-over-year. That is an increase from growth of 5.2% for the same time period year-over-year, 2018-2019. So, even though we are in the midst of a pandemic, home sale prices in the metro area are strong, and appraisals have not quashed growth.
If you’ve been in your home 3 years or more, chances are you’re sitting on positive equity.
