Why not be kind

Today I found myself not being kind for reason I don't know..... I normally have a very pleasing nature I tend to attempt kindness before nastiness, so I was at the store and the young man behind the counter "kindly" asked can I get your phone number we need to update our records, remembering they had just gotten a call from them last week I said no. He probably was told to be persistent by some back room manager so he asked again, I for no good reason I still said no. WHY? It is on my car for havens sake why not give it to him? I just put my heels to the ground and NO was my final answer. Snidly Walking out with my no still echoing in my head and my car coming into view with "My Phone number" somehow glowing I started to relies that was not kind. Sometimes it is important to stop and learn that kind is a practiced habit and even thought I could have reasoned the "NO" with the avoidance of possible unsolicited phone calls, third party partners to the proprietorship or even the never questioned personal safety I didn't need to be unkind. In my business to be strong in my belief for my client is so necessary it is truly is in the best interest of the client for me to stand fast and hard but today was not for a client it was just an off day. So if you ever see me in the grocery store or even at your establishment and find I am not in a nice mood know I am trying you have just caught me on an off day. Everyone has an off day. If you didn't you wouldn't be normal.  I find that the people who don't let off steam, they become psycho and need to be put in a mental institute.  So, let it out, let it out.  It's ok.
