Don't Forget Your Smoke Detector Batteries!

 It's time to Spring Forward!

Yep, we get to lose a hour of sleep this weekend! Don't forget to change that old clock sitting in the corner over there by the family portrait, you know the one you forgot about when we fell back? While you're running around trying to remember how to change some of those more confusing DVD players, your microwaves, coffee makers, stoves, alarm clocks and anything else I may have left out, don't forget to change the batteries in your Smoke Detectors and Carbon Monoxide Detectors. This is very important, it takes all of 10 seconds to do and it may one day save you and your family's lives. On Good Morning America this morning they ran a segment about these detectors and how sometimes they don't wake up children and elderly. They suggested a late night test to see how your family would react to the alarm. If your family does not hear the alarm, it is suggested to place one closer to their bedrooms.

Smoke Detectors usually take 9volt batteries, I'm not sure about Carbon Monoxide Detectors though, so double check first!

Have A Wonderful Weekend!

I do not like the time change -- would rather it stay the same throughout the year.

Aziz - If you move to Hawaii, we do not change the time or the seasons for that matter.

I change my batteries ever so often, because I hate that annoying warning beep when the batteries get low.

I don't like it either Aziz, specially this year! I usually don't have to change my alarm clock or computer but this am I did.

Randy, Phoenix AZ doesn't change either, and dang I get confused with you and them having family in both places :(

Charles, Isn't it though? And they aren't that expensive either.

Nick, Thanks! And OOPS! But, we gained a hour of evening? No late afternoon waves down your way? Ours are usually good in the am too.

I lived in Phoenix for awhile and also have family there.  It was nice that I never had to worry about what time it was back home in Hawaii.
