The End of a Great Day

Services for Real Estate Pros with Beckner Mobile Notary

I work with high school students at my church as a volunteer. This is always a bitter-sweet time of year for me. I'm super glad to see them graduate and move on, but it's also sad to see them go. I'm fortunate to have over-acheivers to work with. Many of the students under my care have better than 4.0 gpa's. They study hard, are involved in any extra-curricular activity they can cram into their schedules and still find time for church. I honestly don't know how they do it. I never got straight A's. I was involved in church and school. That was it.

Today I got to give the invocation and benediction at the eagle scout ceremony for one of my students. Tonight we had a graduation dinner for the graduates. It's one of those days that leaves me feeling satisfied with life. I can't wait for the day when some of these students come back and serve beside me for the next generation of high school students.

I'm at the end of a great day, tired as I can be, but somehow a bit restless from happiness overload.

That sound like you are very involved in your church.  I am too, and it is very satisfying to do something to help others!  It really is a happiness that you can't find anywhere else!

Good morning Dennis - I worked with teenagers for many years, I know what you are feeling. It is really neat when I meet one of my former students now when they are grown up.

Working with teenagers who are motivated and ambitious is very satisfying.  Good for you.
